All of the following clues from earlier episodes prove that Cartman's father is a visitor:

CLUE #1 - In Cliffhanger (a.k.a. Cartman's Mom Is A Dirty Slut), a visitor appears behind Chief Running Water on the right hand side. Slow motion on a VCR shows this.

CLUE #2 - In Not Without My Anus, a visitor shows up on the left hand side of the crowd scene in Tehran, Iran.

CLUE #3 - Cartman's house address number in most episodes (except for Cliffhanger where it's 28201 which is different on purpose) is 1002 which placed backwards reads 2001.

CLUE #4 - In Pink Eye (which appropriately ran after the April Fool's episode), shows a crashed spacecraft with a visitor hanging out of it on the roof of Cartman's house. You'll also see the address number 1002 in Pink Eye as well.

CLUE #5 - In Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride, Cartman wears a number 68 on his football jersey. The 68 is probably a reference to 1968, the year that the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey was released.

CLUE #6 - Also in Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride, two visitors are shown in the first crowd scene of the football game.

CLUE #7 - In Damien and Tom's Rhinoplasty, drawings of visitors are on the bulletin board in the back of Mr. Garrison's classroom. The drawings are placed under the heading "What We Dream..." Perhaps this is a clue to the idea that the whole plot of who's Cartman's dadf is just a dream in Cartman's big-boned head.

CLUE #8 - In Damien, a sign blows around the cafeteria a few times depicting a picture of a visitor with the words "Have You Seen Me?" next to it.

CLUE #9 - Also in Damien, a visitor appears in a crowd scene at the fight on the left hand side.

CLUE #10 - In Pink Eye, a tiny visitor is shown on the shelf at the morgue.

CLUE #11 - In Cliffhanger, during Chef's flashback at the Drunken Barn Dance, we see one cow running away. Remember that cows always run away from visitors. In the other 2 flashbacks, none of the cows move at all.

CLUE #12 - Remember that Cartman had said he was dragged through the hallway of his home in Cartman Gets An Anal Probe. Why didn't the visitors just take him on their ship and give him an anal probe there?

CLUE #13 - Also in Cartman Gets An Anal Probe, the visitors told the cows that they had experimented on many lifeforms and found cows to be the most intelligent. They probably came to this conclusion after realizing that Cartman is an idiot and that their experiment of impregnating Mrs. Cartman to see if they could create a supreme being by mixing the DNA of a human and an alien was a failure.

CLUE #14 - In Tom's Rhinoplasty, Mr. Garrison complains about the movie Contact where he was angry to discover that the alien he was waiting for throughout the whole film turned out to be Jodie Foster's father. A definite hint that a visitor is Cartman's father.

CLUE #15 - Also in Tom's Rhinoplasty, that chick from Species, Natasha Henstridge, was a guest voice. Why do you think that Matt and Trey had mentioned that she played that chick from the film Species? Probably because she played a half alien half human lifeform which is probably what Cartman is.

All these clues lead to the conclusion that a visitor is indeed Eric Cartman's father. Why do you think that Mephesto is goin to get shot in the concluding episode to Cartman's Mom Is A Dirty Slut on April 22? It's a possible government conspiracy to keep Cartman's dad's identity a secret forever. Either that or Cartman was just having a dream and really couldn't care less who his dad really is. We'll see (maybe) April 22. I love a good mystery!

You think Waaaay too much take a rest guy just chill,as Saddam would say. By the way 68 c'mon 2001 I doubt it they just put 68 there so no one wold complai if they put 69

Or, as posted by someone earlier, maybe there is just a visitor in every episode. I can't think of an episode that has not had a visitor hidden in it someplace.

I forgot to mention that visitors show up in the opening of every South Park episode but they do not appear within every episode itself. Visitors have made brief sneaky appearances in the following episodes (see my original post for details): Cartman Gets An Anal Probe (more obvious than brief and sneaky), Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride, Pink Eye, Damien, Tom's Rhinoplasty, Cliffhanger (a.k.a. Cartman's Mom Is A Dirty Slut), and Not Without My Anus. I did not see any visitors in Weight Gain 4000, Volcano, An Elephant Makes Love To A Pig, Death, Starvin' Marvin, A South Park Christmas (a.k.a. Mr. Hankey, The Christmas Poo), and Mecha Streisand.

When the Iraqs entered the classroom to take Ms.Ellen away, they told all the kids to go under their desks. When they did, we see a clip of all the kids and one of the "What We Dream..." alien pics blinks - the one in the lower right hand corner. It also seems to have been drawn differently than when we see it in other shots.

It blinks and then Cartman's desk shuffles a bit - because of his fat ass I take it. :) His fat ass that took an anal probe. Is this the only alien spotting in the episode "Tom's Rhinoplasty"?

Great list of clues!

Alien Al is right! Make that CLUE #16 (CLUE #17 if you count the visitors' appearances during the opening theme song by Primus) on my list of clues that link a visitor to being Cartman's father. The drawing of a visitor on the bottom right hand side of the "What We Dream..." bulletin board does blink its eyes when the children go down below their desks when the Iraqis arrive in the classroom. Either Matt and Trey have this Hitchcock-esque thing about placing visitors in cameo appearances in each episode (like Hitchcock did when he placed himself in a cameo in each of his films) or Cartman's dad is truly a visitor or as the classroom bulletin board had said, it's just "What We Dream..." or in Eric's case, what he dreams. Remember his "bogus nightmares" in Cartman Gets An Anal Probe? Perhaps the whole plot is just a "bogus nightmare" in Cartman's big-boned head. Perhaps not.

...

It is probably a reference to X-Files, making fun of an FBI agent searching for visitors and not finding a damn thing.

Plus I think that Cartman's father is Patrick Duffy, remember when Cartman "made up" that monster and how he described it perfectly. Cartman knows more than he lets on.

I just noticed something else that might prove that Cartman's father is a visitor (CLUE #18). Note that on the box of Cheesy Poofs, Cartman's favorite snack, that there's the moon with a rocketship blasting off from it. Coincidence or not? Come April 22, we'll find out the truth unless Comedy Central jerks us fans around again.

I just had another thought on this.

Ok, so by some of the posts I've read here it says that in the follow-up episode of "Cliffhanger".. Mephisto's gonna get shot or something like that? Meaning the father won't be revealed to us?

If Cartman's father is indeed an alien (and there are so many clues that lead in this direction).. maybe they'll just keep giving us these clues and never actually reveal it. Maybe Trey and Matt will just forever have everyone 'cliffhung' (if that's a word) and we'll move onto other storylines instead of dwelling on this one. We'll still continue to have aliens pop up in future episodes but that's just to keep the 'alien theme' alive. Why is it that aliens haven't shown up in every single episode? Ok, the opening credits.. but in the actual episodes? Unless there's stuff I missed. Say, in "Mr.Hankey The Christmas Poo" or "Starvin' Marvin" for example.

Ok, so I decided to analize "Mecha Streisand" with the pause on my remote to see if I could spot any aliens anywhere. The only thing (to my memory) that was related to the theme was when the helicopter came down (with Streisand in it) and Cartman covering his ass with his hands and screaming "Aliens!!" (or something to that effect). Hmm.. so it turns out to be Babs herself. Think her initials mean anything to this alien theme? :-)

Maybe Matt and Trey are trying to tell us that this whole alien/Cartman's father thing is (bluntly put) B.S. and the father will never be revealed. It'll be a long-running gag within the show, as each future episode will focus on some other storyline while containing alien spottings and references without dwelling on them. This is just a strange theory, I'm not stating facts. :-)

I mean, "Mecha Streisand" was the episode that aired before "Cliffhanger". What "Cliffhanger" brought to us was an April Fools joke. Maybe the "Mecha Streisand" episode was another preparation for us: to not take the 'father/ alien' thing seriously because it's B.S.? hehe Why would they choose Babs anyway? I don't follow her closely, but has she ever starred in any Sci-Fi movies? Ok.. her nose is a trademark and South Park made some cracks about it in the episode.. but maybe what they really needed was a celebrity with the B.S. initials to prove /my/ theory about this whole thing. (Here I am talking about not dwelling on it and putting much thought into it and I'm writing a novel :-).

So anyhow, that's all I want to say basically. I'm not looking for flames, just stating /my/ personal theory about this whole thing about aliens and Cartman's dad. Any comments? Roche? heh

See ya

Comedy Central has promised us fans that Cartman's father will be revealed April 22 even though we'll also have to deal with the question, "Who shot Mephesto?" too. If Comedy Central doesn't deliver as promised a resolution to who Cartman's dad is on April 22, many fans will be turned off and will stop watching South Park. I myself am going to stay a true South Park fan until the final episode airs in what I hope is way off in the far-off future. I still stand by my theory that a visitor is Cartman's father. I must admit at first I thought that the idea of an alien visitor being Eric's dad was ridiculous but was finally convinced after carefully watching the ending to Cliffhanger (also known as Cartman's Mom Is A Dirty Slut) and discovering that a visitor pops up behind Chief Running Water for only a couple of frames during the fast panning of suspects in the room. I urge all South Park fans to play this scene back, press slow motion or the frame advance button on their VCR remote and see the shocking truth. Remember, Mephesto said that it was somebody in the room who was Cartman's father even though Mephesto never said verbally that a visitor was among the suspects. The truth will be revealed April 22 whether it's a visitor or someone else who is Eric's dad. Perhaps Mephesto will get killed off and we find out that he is the father before he passes away so that way Cartman remains fatherless. I know it's only animation but solving a mystery can be fun.

But hopefully not before he manages to whisper: There... is.... another....... Cartman............

Here are some more possible clues that may prove that Cartman's father is a visitor:

CLUE #19 - In An Elephant Makes Love To A Pig, Officer Barbrady tells the boys that they have been watching The X-Files too much.

CLUE #20 - In Starvin' Marvin, the name David Duchovny (Mulder on The X-Files) is written on the blackboard in Mr. Garrison's classroon.

CLUE #21 - In Mecha Streisand, upon seeing Barbra Streisand's helicopter, Cartman yells out "Aliens!" and covers his butt.

Coincidence or not? We'll see April 22.

Here's another clue:

CLUE #22 - In Death, on Mr. Garrison's blackboard, the words "a typical white dwarf" were written. Perhaps "a typical white dwarf" is a clever way of describing an alien visitor.

Coinicidence or not? We'll see April 22.

Alien Al ([email]) wrote: AA>If Cartman's father is indeed an alien (and there are so many clues AA>that lead in this direction)..

There's not a single clue that leads in this direction. Just because the aliens keep popping up in episodes now has no bearing (exactly what the fuck does an alien appearing in the Terrence and Phillip story have to with Cartman's parentage?) It was clearly stated that Cartman's father was someone in the room, and there were no aliens in the room.

AA>Ok, so I decided to analize "Mecha Streisand" with the pause on my AA>remote to see if I could spot any aliens anywhere.

Again, just because you see aliens does not mean that they have anything to do with the issue. The aliens are in South Park NOW. Did you see any evidence during the many flashbacks that aliens were in South Park eight years ago?

Jerry Roche ([email]) wrote: JR>Perhaps Mephesto will get killed off and we find out that he is the JR>father before he passes away so that way Cartman remains fatherless.

But doesn't he get shot to keep the secret? Why would HE get shot if that's the case? One would think the father was the shootist (which makes one immediately suspect Jimbo or Ned).

JR>Here are some more possible clues that may prove that Cartman's JR>father is a visitor:

These clues indicate nothing except that visitors are currently in South Park. Not a single one of them has any bearing on who Cartman's father is.

He wasn't one of the choices. Anyway, he didn't live in South Park eight years ago; his arrival in SP was in "The Spirit of Christmas" (and apparently, he decided to stay).

Now that the day has finally come where we will find out who Cartman's father is, let me give my complete list of clues one more time that may prove that Cartman's dad is an alien visitor:

#1 - Cartman's Mom Is A Dirty Slut - A visitor is behind Chief Running Water in the lab room during the panning shot of all the suspects.

#2 - Not Without My Anus - A visitor shows up on the left side of the crowd scene in Tehran.

#3 - Pink Eye - Cartman's address number is 1002 (except in Cartman's Mom Is A Dirty Slut). When reversed, it reads 2001.

#4 - Pink Eye - A crashed spacecraft with a visitor hanging out of it appears on the roof of Cartman's home.

#5 - Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride - Cartman wears a 68 on his football jersey. The 68 could refer to 1968, the year the film 2001 was released.

#6 - Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride - 2 visitors appear in only the first wide shot of the crowd scene of the football game on the right hand side.

#7 - Damien & Tom's Rhinoplasty - Drawings of visitors are displayed on the board in the back of Mr. Garrison's classroom with the heading, "What We Dream..." above it.

#8 - Cartman Gets An Anal Probe, An Elephant Makes Love To A Pig & Damien - A sign with a visitor's head with the caption, "Have You Seen Me?" next to it appears in the cafeteria.

#9 - Damien - A visitor is shown in a crowd scene at the fight on the left hand side.

#10 - Pink Eye - A tiny visitor is on the shelf at the morgue.

#11 - Cartman's Mom Is A Dirty Slut - In Chef's Drunken Barn Dance flashback, one cow appears startled by something and moves. Remember that cows always run in fear when they see visitors. No cows move during the other 2 flashbacks.

#12 - Cartman Gets An Anal Probe - Cartman had said he was dragged through the hallway of his home and was given an anal probe in another room. Why didn't they give him the anal probe on the ship?

#13 - Cartman Gets An Anal Probe - The visitors told the cows that they had experimented with other lifeforms and had found cows to be the most intelligent. In other words, the experiment with Eric proved that mixing the DNA of an alien with a human did not create a highly intelligent lifeform as they hoped when impregnating Mrs. Cartman. This is just my theory.

#14 - Tom's Rhinoplasty - Mr. Garrison complained about the film Contact where he waited for the alien to appear and it turned out to be Jodie Foster's father.

#15 - Tom's Rhinoplasty - Natasha Henstridge, that "chick from Species" was a guest voice. Her character in the film was part human part alien.

#16 - Visitors make appearances during the opening theme song in all episodes including Pink Eye.

#17 - Tom's Rhinoplasty - The drawing of the visitor on the bottom right hand side of the "What We Dream..." board in the classroon blinks its eyes when the children take cover under their desks when the Iraqis arrive.

#18 - Note that on the box of Cheesy Poofs that there's a rocketship blasting away from the moon.

#19 - An Elephant Makes Love To A Pig - Officer Barbrady tells the boys that they've been watching The X-Files too much.

#20 - Starvin' Marvin - The name David Duchovny (Mulder on The X-Files) appears on Mr. Garrison's blackboard.

#21 - Mecha Streisand - Upon seeing Barbra Streisand's helicopter, Cartman yells out, "Aliens!" and covers his butt.

#22 - Death - The words, "a typical white dwarf" appears on Mr. Garrison's blackboard. A possible synonym for an alien visitor.

#23 - An Elephant Makes Love To A Pig & Death - A drawing of a visitor appears on the board in the back of Mr. Garrison's classroom with the heading, "Our Pets" above it.

Is Eric Cartman part alien or is Matt and Trey cleverly placing visitors and/or things related to aliens in their shows because they have some fixation on the subject of aliens? We'll see tonight unless Comedy Central shows Terrance and Phillip again.

GodDamn.....you actually had time to come up with this crap? How sad....question....have you ever actually kissed a girl? No your mommy doesn't count.... Move out of your parents' home and get a life...even if it does suck, it's gotta better than the one you are living now.

Well at least I can admit when I'm wrong instead of goind around flaming one's opinions and telling people to quote "get a life", [email]. And yes, gyro, I have kissed a girl (my ex-girlfriend to be specific), I do live at home but have a nice well-paid job and a good life thank you very much. To quote some words of wisdom I've learned in my life: "If you don't have anything nice to say about somebody then don't say anything at all."

no buddy...here is the deal.... You take the time to create this fucking stupid list of crap that means nothing. You devote the time to actually make up this list.... it's just a TV show....let it go...you probably are one of those people who thinks that Star Trek is cool and you wear the little goofy ears to conventions. Dude....get a grip, and pay more attention to your woman instead of a TV show...then maybe she wouldn't be an "ex girlfriend" While she's off fucking some real man, you're at home making a stupid list about a Cartoon show.... It's called balls.....grow some

You try to be nice in response to getting flamed and you still keep getting flamed by the same person. As for my ex-girlfriend, we still get together but only as friends. For your information [email], she's not currently seeing anyone and we still love each other but only platonically. As for watching Star Trek, I hate Star Trek! The fans of that show are the ones that should get a life not me. I watch South Park for its hip satire of pop culture. Just last night alone, Matt and Trey parodied everything from Alive to Jurassic Park to The Crying Game. As for my "list of crap that means nothing", I hate to break it to you gyro but it does mean something. Do you remember when Alfred Hitchcock placed himself in quick cameos in his films which became a trademark gimmick in his movies. Even Steven Spielberg has a little gimmick in most of his films: a shooting star sequence. I see that Matt and Trey seem to have a fixation on aliens and I had proven this with that "list of crap" as you had called it, gyro. Like Hitchcock's film cameos and Spielberg's shooting star sequences, the subliminal visitor cameos are Matt and Trey's trademark gimmick to see if real South Park fans are paying attention. Just because I notice little things like these does not mean my life is useless. My life is perfectly fine thank you very much. I'm 26, I got a decent job, a roof over my head, I date, I go out and enjoy life so therefore, I do have a life beyond South Park. I also have something else too: good manners. Something of which bitter people like you gyro don't have.
