It was a great episode but I am surprised Kenny was alive at the end....They gave no reason why he is still alive so it seems he won't be dying on the show anymore...what do you think?

Yep. For like 2 or 3 seasons there the writers kept playing on that and even the joke about Kenny dying getting old got old. I kinda wish he'd stayed dead though. I liked seeing Butters get more time.

I liked the part where he died for real, and I would have been disappointed that they brought him back, except his replacements were so lame. Still, Kenny's more of an annoyance than anything else.

I beg to differ, given that Kenny has sacrificed himself more times to save the town/world than Jesus has. I would say he's pretty important to the survival of the show. Kenny kicks ass.

Butters is great when he's a part of a subplot like in the LOTR episode. I think the episodes last season that had him as the "fourth friend" were pretty weak. I'm just not fond of "Jared Has Aids" or "Freak Strike." Same with Tweek. In fact, save for the Simpsons episode, the episodes last summer were all pretty lame. Season 6 got alot better when they just focused on Stan, Kyle and Cartman and stopped trying to include a "fourth friend"
That said, it's great seeing Kenny back. I think, since they're not going to kill him off, they should take his hood off every once in a while.

I thought Butters worked really well as the fourth friend when they were focusing more on the 3 Amigos. He has really good chemistry with the others. "Freak Strike" was just a lame episode, and I can't remember "Jared Has Aids", but the other episodes where Butters got a lot of screentime were funny, I thought. Tweek sucked, but otherwise I liked Season 6 alot. The "ROTLOTRTTTT" and "Death Camp of Tolerance" are two of my favorite episodes ever. I didn't get to catch tonight's, but I was really disappointed with the start of season 7.
I hope so. Kenny's character got boring a long time ago. Krazy Kenny was good, but otherwise he didn't do anything really memorable since the first couple of seasons. Now that he's back they need to finally flesh him out. I think season 6 really showed that they didn't need a fourth friend at all.
