the kids' appearance at the Emmys

Hey all,

Didja guys see the boys' little appearance at the Emmys? It was very brief, but it went something like this. They were in tuxes (very cute!) and they were talking about honoring those who have died this year. The first pic they showed was of some old guy whom I didn't recognize. The next 4 pics were of Kenny in some of the many ways he has died, with the caption "Kenny McCormick; 1991-1999". Then a pic of Charlie Sheen was shown, then another 2 more clips of Kenny were shown. Then it cut to the boys standing onstage, looking at Kenny and Kyle (or Stan) says, "Dude- I don't think we should be standing so close to you" and they all move a few feet away from Kenny. 3 seconds later the big Emmy statue that was onstage falls on top of him. Oh yeah, in addition, I am positive it was Trey singing the tribute song that played while they showed the "tribute".

They also showed a clip from SP as part of the "Tribute To Primetime Animation" (presented by Hank Hill who came on stage) ..

It was Bronco song from the Spontaneous Combustion ep. ("Let's go... .Broncos...")

Grrr, I missed it! Too bad it won't be on again, like they repeat the damn VMA twenty times each day.. =(

Whatwhatwhat?!? I didn't even know those Emmy's were on!!! Oy, I must live in a cave or something. I missed it toooo <whine>.

How sad that the boys didn't win.

Unfortunately, they never repeat awards shows- with the exception of the MTV movie and video music awards, both of which go in full rotation 10 times a day on MTV for the next 6 months after the initial broadcast. Your best bet is to see if anyone on the web has it on RealVideo or something like that.

That's because MTV has to fill up space on the air, so instead of *gasp* showing more music videos they just play the awards show over and over and over and...

MTV isn't what it used to be....i was lucky enough to tune in today and actually see some videos

Unfortunately Shirl, they weren't nominated for ANYTHING! King of the Hill won best Animated series beating out The Simpsons, The PowerPuff Girls, (and I don't remember the other two). It didn't even get to air on Emmy night. They were lumped in the Technical Emmys the week before.

Naw, it's pretty lame. I've never been able to sit through an entire episode. Maybe when Matt and Trey are done with South Park, they can do a cartoon about boring, paunchy, middle-aged people who talk slow.

LOL! The first season was pretty good. Its weird, tho, most of my dad's friends sound like Boomhauer...heh.

Yeah poor thing...i really think they should be nominated and win, they are so popular all over the world, hardly heard of "King of the Hill" here. Besides, "The Simpsons" should have beat that show!

Yeah I know. It's kinda sad tho, cause I used to love it when it was on after the simpsons. It gave me something to stick around for. Then they moved it to Tuesdays, just the same way they moved Family Guy, which makes it harder to watch. But I think FG is more worth watching =)

What do you expect? In an interview, Mike Judge actually states that when they go through a script, the deliberately remove anything that may be regarded as funny. Once you take out any humor, all you got is just that........a humorless show. The butt-ugly art style don't help thing seither.

Screw Judge with a dead budgie shoved sideways..........Parker & Stone have done more than that redneck hack ever will (bet'cha when Massuh Valenti came a'callin' wit that heah list o tings he did'unt wanta see in thuh Beevo & Buffcoat movie, ol Mikey done say "YassuhYassuh.....I'll takes dem out and dooz whut yooz say, Massah Valenti".).

BTW, Valenti was in town this week (Omaha) to play charity golf and listen to Warren Buffet talk out of his ass. The way he had his sweater tied around his neck in that oh so "OOO! I'm so suave" look, he was a dead ringer to the Ted Knight character in "Caddyshack". What a maroon.
