I know who Andy Dick is, and I'm not a fan of his or anything, i was just wondering why Parker & Stone gave him such prominent display in Hell in the Christmas song episode? Anyone know? Also why Michael Landon & the kennedy's?
I'm not making any judgements here, just wondering if there's some deeper issues behind why those people got included in Hell, or if they were just celebrities picked at random to piss off the straights.
yes, but i was asking *why he was consigned to hell*. ====================================== You have to understand, in the South Park universe, everybody is sent to hell except the pope. Remember in the SP movie when Kenny was thrown from Heaven's gate to the depths of Hell that we saw that the population of Heven was about 1700 and Hell"s was in the hundereds of billions and continuously rising.
I guess that Trey and Matt were poking fun at orthodox Christian standards. That if they truely held, Heaven would be nearly empty and Hell would be packed full.

Reminds me of a little joke:
Guy dies and goes to heaven. St. Peter tells him, "Enjoy the afterlife... everything you've ever wanted or needed is here for you. We have only one thing to ask of you... you see that wall over there? Whenever you go near it, you must not say anything or make a lot of noise."
Being a newbie, the guy doesn't want to cause any static so he obeys the request... but after a few decades, his curiousity builds and he finally talks to one of the archangels and asks what's up with the wall.
"Oh..." says the archangel, "That's where we keep the born-again Christians... they think they're the only ones up here."

Probably for much the same reason that they consider Barbara Steisand to be evil and vile (and if you're a BLU fan, "Barbara Streisand" is absolutely the worst curse word you can say!). I find Barbara annoying, but these guys must just absolutely hate her.
I think it's similar with Andy Dick. If you've ever seen an interview with him, he's such an asshole that it's hard to believe that anyone is truly like that and can live with themselves. Oh, then there's the drug abuse. Combine that with the fact that he lives in a house with his girlfriend, their son, his ex-wife, their son and his ex-wife's boyfriend, and you've got the recipe for Fucked-Up Stew.

He's a flamboyant type... he probably caught Matt and Trey's eye and they thought it would be funny to mention him.
Landon divorced at least 1 wife, possibly cheated on her... I don't quite recall. Then he went and did that Highway to Heaven preaching bullshit TV show and was trying to make like he was some good christian soul.
Combination of the two.

GodDAMN, people, they're just trying to be FUNNY. Do you really think they're sitting around adding up the points and passing moral judgment on the celebs they "sent to hell"? Part of the humor is in the randomness. Sheesh.
