This morning I logged on and tried to get into the Comedy Central webcast; only being able to maintain a 19.2K connection I tried the 14.4K and 28.8K buttons and they didn't work.
The Chat worked and nobody there could get things to work, either. At first I thought there had been a delay, but it turns out that yes, they had started without us, and someone on the chat noticed that the 56K button, and ONLY the 56K button worked.
Luckily, I was able to get audio and really messed-up video through that button, but I was 40 minutes late due to all the technical difficulties.
After reloading the page it said that the webcast would be at 1PM, instead of 11:30AM like it said earlier this morning... but it's 1:23 now and not even the chat button works anymore. And yes, I am in the right time zone.
In fact, as I was trying different things, I tried to enter through the form's "Already Registered" section, and it gave me an internal server error and referred me to an E-mail address. I mailed that E-mail address and it bounced; apparently there is no webmaster account.
It's 1:27 now and things seem to be working though... but this is 1998, people... come on now! You'd think we'd have gotten this down by now.
