My guess is that the folks who vote in the Neilsen ratings are too tight-assed to enjoy twisted humor. ============================================= 'South Park' Ratings Suffer

NEW YORK (Variety) - The foul-mouthed third graders of 'South Park' are not harvesting the ratings they were reaping a year ago, and the highly touted British comedy series 'League of Gentlemen' is off to a grim start. Ratings for the new season's first three episodes of 'South Park' have plunged by 19% compared with those of last year, but the network has suffered only a small dip in its target demographic of adults 18-49.

Too bad, the new season is great so far!

I don't think LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN will go over well in the States at all... why don't they show more tawdy crap like BOTTOM and GIMME GIMME GIMME????

Zzzzzzzz. A 19% drop hardly qualifies as a "plunge" especially for a show that's still way up near the top of the heap. Some people will say anything to make random fluctuations look like "news." Or did anyone think SP's ratings would just rise and rise forever?
