I ask because I was wondering if anyone, after seeing Kane last night on Raw, was thinking "Ned."
Anything else? Oh wait, I forgot....I don't post here anymore :-)

The guy was supposed to have been burned as a kid and so last night he was talking with a "cancer kazoo".
Anibál a escrito: "(Kane) was talking with a 'cancer kazoo.' "
All them rasslers blow out their voices yelling. Rick Rude, Randy Savage, the late Brian Pillman, Scott Steiner just deteriorated before our ears. It's like they studied voice with Patricia Neal.

Begging your pardon, Captain HTML, but Brian Pillman had throat cancer when he was a child... he had no control over what his voice sounded like... it's as a result of surgery when he was a kid.

Lone Wolf begs my pardon but "Brian Pillman had throat cancer when he was a child."
I grant you pardon, oh wolfish one, but Pillman still sounded worse at the end of his career/life than at the beginning. I could drag out the videos but it's a lot of work. It's that bigoted, conceited former partner of his, Zenk, I'd like to give cancer.
"Captain HTML?" another promotion!
Dude... lose the HTML. It's SO annoying.
He was on painkillers to deal with his ankle, which was severely fucked up from a car crash several months before he died. Nevertheless, the majority of his messed-up voice came from his childhood illness.
Well, you'll get no argument from me there. Zenk sucked bigtime. I recall a 6 man tag team match from WCW several years ago... it took place in my neighboring Philadelphia, a big fan base for wrestling, and Arn Anderson was on the "bad" team and Zenk was on the "good " team... in the typical and great tradition of Philly, they rooted for Anderson and his team, and booed Zenk and his team of homos. I do love a Philadelphia sports crowd. There's no city in the world more bloodthirsty and antagonistic, bless 'em.

Lone Wolf wrote that Pillman "was on painkillers to deal with his ankle." I don't know if the painkillers done him in, but they were virtually the death of Kerry von Erich. Did you know he lost a foot in 1985?
I mean a foot like at the end of his leg.

They were. A combination of painkillers, alcohal, and strain on his heart from wrestling the night before... same thing happened to Louie Spiccoli a couple months ago.
Actually, I'd heard he was born with a club foot, and despite a specially-made wrestling boot, it caused him alot of pain to wrestle, and after getting busted for drug possession, Kerry went into a depression... that combined with his use of painkillers, plus the thought of possibly going to jail when his hearing rolled around, made him suicidal, and like his 2 (3?) other brothers, he killed himself... shot himself with a shotgun. There's only one Von Erich brother left now... I don't recall which one it is, though.
