I might piss some people off with this one. But I guess you could say I'm a southpark purist. I don't have a problem with creating a character for a story, but when you create a RECURRING character and end up turning every fanfic you write into something that's not really southpark, but rather a spinoff of it it just kind of ruins the whole gendre for me. That, and I'm really sick of the whole "pinwheel" thing. It's kind of retarded.

I won't go as far as to say I hate fanfics, but I can see your point.
I've always thought of fanfics as the lazy way of story writing. Who needs
character development when you are going to use characters everyone knows?
However, for grins I've written a few fanfics (and no I haven't posted
them here) and it's just well ... kind of fun. So for every South Park, Dr.
Who, or Man from U.N.C.L.E. fict, I get foisted, I read them in the good
nature in which they are intended.Barb

I wrote one too, once, and I kind of collaborated on one. It's just a certain KIND of fanfic that I hate I guess. Oh well, look for my repost of my one and only solo fic coming soon. It's damn good :-). Well, you be the judge of that.
