But as ridiculous as it sounds, they're right. Ten billion people each wiping their ass with wads of tree cellulose ten times a day is not sustainable for long. And a great prophet actually uttered some words of wisdom on this very subject:

------------------------------------------------------------------------ "You can't tell them that they're out there in the bushes just taking it off and doing what the fuck ever they want to do when no one's looking. You can't tell them that they're turning out books of matches and people are getting out and just setting this motherfucker on fire because they won't get right in the basement, y'dig?. So you see the world is coming to an end and you want to make a Holocaust back in 1941. That's not a Holocaust, that was man's war against man, that's not God's war against man. God is in everything, y'know. We need to fix the water, we need to help the damn trees, we need to stop the fuckin' pollution, we need to stop them damn automobiles and do a lot more walking. Get back to bicycles...quit using paper...quit wiping your ass with the trees...quit wasting all the fuckin' paper, man." -- St. Charles Manson; "Manson Speaks" - Disc 2, Track 6, 00:42 - 01:34 ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ten billion people wiping their asses ten times a day? On what planet does that happen? Incontinentia VI?

The world population will soon hit ten billion, and the greenhouse effect will cause a global cholera epidemic.

Ideally, greater acceptance of contraception in the Third World will slow down the population growth, but I wouldn't take anything for granted. I'm not really arguing with you, I just had to give you a hard time about people wiping their asses ten times a day. Unless they're really sick, most people don't have to go that often.

Even if it's only once a day it's still unsustainable. As for contraception, well some believe it should be mandatory (for stupid people at least), and some actually believe that extinction of the human species is the only way to repair the damage to the planet's ecosystem...

On South Park 714, Stan asks the goth kid that if life is only pain, what reason do they have for living, and the goth kid explains that they exist just to make life more miserable for the conformists.
