What if Kenny made no wish, or wished for something else?

<<I took Kim's songfic and expanded on it.>>

Empty Chairs At Empty Tables A songfic

We saw what terrors were to come The seventh sign fell into place Satan stood and killed Saddam In that very space.

What if the boys were killed, not spared? Camaraderie, their final dish? Saddam and Satan stand and stare And one can only wish.

What if they hadn't gone through the portal? What if they hadn't taken a bow? Two lovers and a boy immortal: Let Kenny tell you now.

There's a grief that can't be spoken Here, a pain that can't be broken God must surely have been joking But it's been too long...

<Saddam's body is electrocuted and he is looking to Satan to help. Satan exchanges a short, fleeting look with Kenny, and his eyes begin to narrow..and then he looks fondly at Saddam and cannot do it.>

Electricity scorches Saddam, and he Looks to Satan, who glances at me, And Satan turns back to declare himself free And doesn't follow through.

Empty chairs at empty tables Satan's anguished and unstable Hold him back I was not able. And now my friends are gone.

<Satan reaches out an arm and sweeps Cartman, Stan, and Kyle away. Saddam smiles evily as Satan has almost a pained look on his face. The scene fades into Kenny standing in the now-empty warehouse where the boys plotted La Resistance>

Satan has swept my friends away A smile sweeps over Saddam, so gay I go to the warehouse without delay Viva la Resistance?

<Another overlaying image: Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and the others are plotting at the table with the army figurines. Kenny's underlaying image shows him picking up a scorched army figurine and looking at it contemplatively>

Here they talked of revolution Freedom was their resolution Here they formed their best solution Here they lit the flame

Here, the paper and paint they borrowed Without the slightest hint of sorrow Here they sang about tomorrow; Tomorrow never came!

<A faded overlaying image of Gregory and the kids singing La Resistance, as Kenny looks at the same box Gregory stood upon with a sad look in his eyes. Instinctively, Kenny answers>

But their voices rang out, singing, Beading sweat ran down their brows In their souls persistence ringing. I can hear them now

They may cut your dick in half ........Their battle cry And serve it to a pig ........Rang through the woods! And though it hurts, you'll laugh, ........La Resistance And you'll dance a dickless jig ........How tall they stood! Well that's the way it goes ........My fearless friends, In war you're just shat upon! ........In war they Though we die ........How in the world did they get caught? La Resistance ........How did they end up where they ought not? Lives on! .......O, how I wish this war had been shorter! .......This whole fuckin' thing is quite in disorder!

<shivers> Oh, shit, that was just..ooh..I loved it..need I say more?
