SANTA ROSA, California (AP) -- Charles Schulz left strict instructions that nobody else could draw "Peanuts," and, days before he died, told one of his daughters that animated shows featuring Charlie Brown and the gang must end as well.
Still, the cartoonist's children are worried that the company that owns the "Peanuts" franchise will turn out new programs that stray too far from Schulz's legacy.
"They'll end up being like 'South Park' or something like that," says Schulz's son Monte.
At the rate this thing is going kids, I wonder if all Peanuts books will be recalled for immediate destruction, and the Apollo 10 lunar module (dubbed "Snoopy") that's still in perpetual orbit will have to be ordered shot down?
Well Charles never liked the animated shows anyways. I read somewhere that he said they way they were done didn't do the kids justice.
That's survivors for you.

I don't think this was really a diss.Peanuts is supposed to wholesome family entertainment, and southpark is not.SP is meant for adults, and he's worried they will fill his beloved Peanuts with dick and fart jokes. Not that there is anything wrong with dick and fart jokes, mind you.It just doesn't belong in childrens media.Ask Trey Parker and he'll tell you the same thing. He's against any kids watching South Park. That's why he didnt bitch about the late time slot and the disclaimer before every episode.

FAT CHANCE!!! Back in the '60s we had bootleg catoons of a very pregnant Lucy yelling "God damn you, Charlie Brown!" Also Snoopy yelling "Fuck you, Red Baron!" No way in hell can anyone stop parodies of "Peanis" -- I mean, "Peanuts." There's a 1992 Supreme Court decision backing this up.
Here's a few ideas: Lucy pulls the football away -- Charlie Brown kicks her ass -- his foot gets stuck too. "God dammit, Lucy, if you'd stop shoving this football up your ass, my foot wouldn't be stuck in there now!" "Fuck you, Charlie Brown!" "I did, and you gave me the clap, remember?"
Peppermint Patty and Marcy do a Lez-Be-Friends while director Snoopy tapes it. Sally Brown watches from the window. Later, she asks her older brother, "Did you know Peppermint Patty licks the carpet?" "No, but I know she eats a lot of box."
Lucy and Violet gang-rape Linus. Linus doesn't put up much of a struggle. He also uses a different kind of "security blanket," one much smaller that comes in foil.
Lucy also gives Schoeder a "Lewinsky." Finally, something more interesting than Beethoven.
The chick with red hair -- turns out she's not a real readhead.
Lucy is having her daily tantrum. She yells her lungs out. Suddenly she stops in mid-sentence, and a big pile of crap falls out her panties. Quoting Ted Nugent, she says, "Shit, I need to wear a Kotex or somthing!"
Snoopy does it to Sally Brown. Both holes. Doggie-style.
Yeah, right, they'll be able to stop it....
Schultz was entertaining for a while, but he was a wuss. "I don't even like words like 'stink' or 'fink.'" And he didn't even like Beethoven very much -- he liked Brahms.
I've seen those, too, but that only tells me she had become such a presence in his life that he missed her when she was gone (I'm sure we've all had such folks in our lives), but he was never as interested in her as she was in him.
Indeed, it seems he only missed her attention. I mean, no one else paid as much attention to him as she did, and with her gone only Snoopy would stop by and dance. But Snoopy is no Lucy, so Schroeder was left with memories of Lucy paying attention to him. That's it.
