The Matt & Trey commentary tracks have been removed from the upcoming "South Park: Season 1" DVD set. Apparantly, their comments were too offensive for Warner Bros. However, if you order the set through shop.comedycentral.com, you'll recieve a multi-CD set with all the commentaries. According to the shop.comedycentral.com page, they're supposed to be cued up in your CD player after the opening credits sequence ends. Product info at:

I'm glad I didn't sell my season one box set (region 2 so it does have ep 113 anyway).....this is ridiculous, the only reason to get the box set was the commentary really....what idiots, people who like South Park are not offended by *anything*

Season One of South Park to be Released on DVD
The first season of South Park will be released as a complete set for the first time on November 12th. As we mentioned a while back, Matt and Trey have recorded audio commentary to accompany the DVD release. Unfortunately, this commentary will not be included on the actual DVDs. The commentary will, however, be available on separate audio CDs.
There's two ways to get a hold of the DVD and CD.
1. You can purchase the DVD set through ComedyCentral.com and receive the CDs with Matt and Trey's audio commentary FREE with your purchase. Easy, no?
2. Or, you can purchase the set elsewhere. In which case, you'll have to send in your proof of purchase with a small shipping and handling fee to Comedy Central. They will then mail you the CDs.

I sold back my season one DVDs back for NOTHING. THat's the only reason I wanted the first season set, to hear the commentaries! Now there's not a GOD DAMN thing different on this set than is already available!

That episode is already available on Volume #4.
Warner was releasing the episodes in order until some fucking genius decided a "Best of" approach was the way to go.
Considering that there is now nothing different between the episodes in the box sets and the ones I already own(Episode 113 included)- except that I have heard rumors that the video is worse in the box set- I won't be getting it. And since I won't be getting the box set then that means I won't be getting the audio commentaries...through legitimate means.

I dont know, but on my home stereo equipment, I can have the audio from my CD player playing with the visual coming from any source I have hooked up at the time.
It still sucks that they weren't included though.
I got Season #1 through Amazon.com, and the donkey raping shit eater at Comedy Central said I couldn't get the commentary CDs. Can someone help out? I'll trade my own CD for it! Plus my upcoming one!
I suppose you'll need to buy it at your local video store. I bought mine at Best Buy - $30. You'll need a sales receipt with the video title encircled, proof of purchase, the printed pdf form, and a check for $3.50... ! :D.
