Did anyone else notice this fact?
....that Cartman said "I'll kick you in the nuts!" twice in the pig/elephant episode.
but in the Leno clip they beeped it out.
perhaps they got away with it once, but they won't let them do it again?
Maybe I heard it wrong.

not only do all TV shows get censored but they all have levels of cenorship with the TV station
for instance MTV and Comedy Central obviously would censor as much as ESPN or Disney or TBS

uhh....MTV censores out phrases such as "doing crystal meth will lift you up until you break" in a Third Eye Blind video, and the word "bullet" in a Butthole Surfers video...not to mention the excessive blurring of brand names on those Real World type shows. When was the last time ESPN said "Turning now to basketball....the Boston Celtics defeated the Washington *bleep* in overtime"

But MTV will leave the words "bitch" and "ass" in Real World episodes and every other show they play (Singled Out, Jenny Mcarthy, etc.). Why do they censor videos unnecessarily but not regular shows?
mtv censored out the entire title to a TOOL song, Stinkfist. They even took out entire phrases from the song "Finger deep within the boderline."
yeah that pisses me off

You can't exactly blame MTV for censoring Anema. It's a rather, uh, rough song. I'm rather surprised that Tool made a video out of it. H and 46 & 2 are much more radio freindly songs, but then again that's Tool for you.

Plus, in "Santeria" by Sublime, they censored every other word, which actually made it sound even worse.
ex. "And I won't think twice to stick that ____ straight down Sancho's throat."
should be barrel, but if you hear it without all the other references to guns, it sounds somewhat perverted. That's why KROQ is cool, they say stuff like "harmless little fuck" in Jeremy. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I've heard other stations not censor songs, and it's always amazed me. Does anyone know how they keep their license? The FCC gets mad at Howard Stern for the stuff he does, yet they let stuff like that slip by. Seem odd to anyone else?
wlzr in milwaukee sometimes lets songs slip by

Well, it could be becuase NBC and Comedy Central have different TV standards...more people are watching NBC, so I guess they wanted to tone it down a bit...<shrugs>

Actually, the Leno clip had to be cleared by NBC's censors, who have always been a little less tolerant of questionable language than Comedy Central's. Besides that, CC has a policy of letting SP get away with things you can't say on other CC shows, like the word, "goddammit."
