Dr. Phibes - Mr. Hanky in the sewers playing the organ. Bach Fugues rock. Don't forget that in the original Phibes brought forth the nine Biblical plagues (apparently South Park suffers from a variety of these each week). God bless the late Vincent Price.

Isle of Dr. Moreau - Although the movie blew, Hanky as Brando in sheet and sunglasses was pretty sweet.

Star Wars - I think these guys have a serious fetish. The Planet Hollywood was a Death Star, I swear we have seen that before in another episode. Perhaps Stan and Wendy are actually Luke and Leia. Perhaps his harfing is actually a reflex because she is his SISTER. Muahahahaha.

Goonies - A movie I am certain Spielberg would like to forget. That scene with Mr. Garrison is from another bad movie I have seen but I can't place it, argh!

Fantasia - The Sorcerer's Apprentice with poo? I guess this was 'Night on Bald Mountain' with the forces of good and evil battling. However, the torrents of flying crap reminded me of a bad 70's disaster flick. Where was Shelley Winters?

Philadelphia - Tom Hanks can't act his way out of a nutsack? That is kind harsh. 'Joe Versus the Volcano'

Fred Savage - What is the deal? I thought he was about as innocuous as they get?. Must have pissed in somebody's Cheerios.

Cowboys Eating Pudding - I have not doubt that the crappy clips we saw were probably real movies shown at Sundance. Where was Mr. Garrison during the flicks? He would have enjoyed.

Parental Guidance Suggested - Kyle's mom can blow her girdle at 'Terrance and Philip' but allows little kids to watch art fuck movies featuring lots of varying sex. She must have been looking for Streisand.

Did anyone count how many times Chef said chocolate/salty balls during this ep?

What in the hell was the deal with Mr. Hanky having pictures taken in Kyle's mouth. Ewwwwwwwwww.

Night on Bald Mountain was the demon rising from the mountain to rain terror on the town below. Hankey in SP was a tribute to just the Sorceror's Apprentice... I don't think there were any other references to Fantasia.

I liked Tom Hanks better when he was doing funny movies... before he got all full of himself.

I must watch again over the weekend... maybe Garrison is alone in the balcony or something.

Possible reference to a Sam Kinison bit? I remember he was talking about people who get wasted at parties, and pass out on the couch. As a joke, he suggested a bunch of guys take their dicks out and hold them around the face of the onconscious victim, and take a polaroid. No real sexual contact, just intense insinuation. Bet you the guy never gets drunk at your house again!

I'm not going to debate aboot it until I've seen the episode tonight...but I heard the wave file when they found Mr Hankey and it reminds me of the ORIGINAL Phantom of the Opera (Not the Sir Andrew LLoyd "OOhhh, what a stuck up bastard I am" Webber version.) seeming his lair was in teh sewers. But like I said, I jsut summized through audio...gotta see it first...:)

True, much as I would have LOVED for it to have been a Phibes ref. If it were "The Abominable Doctor Phibes," the last scene would have been Admiral Hanky rowing away in his french fry boat to the tune of "Somewhere, Over the Rainbow." Probably followed by an eerie, echoing "Hi-dey hi!"

Frosty the Snowman: Remember this movie when the bad guy trapped Frosty in the greenhouse and he melted? Then they showed the life and times of him with the music?
