Shame on you. You 'found' a site. Really? Why does the bbakels in your address represent your name, Bart Bakels? Because it is your damn site. South Park related comments only, no SPAM, if you wanna have a link in your signature like most people do, thats fine, but dont devote a whole message to a link.

Loosen the sphincter, Stevo. There's nothing, repeat *NOTHING* wrong with a single post advertising an on-topic web site.
Even if it does utilize frames (when will people learn?), and takes *forever* to load, and spawns obnoxious 'Vote for me!' windows (Yeah, right. Is there anything more pathetic than someone who begs for votes?) and seems to have more advertising than actual content, it's still SouthPark related and it's still on-topic in alt.tv.southpark.
So it's ok for you to advertise your web site at the bottom of EVERY SINGLE POST, but it's not ok for Bart to advertise his site ONCE?
This is a SouthPark newsgroup, and *any post* relating to the show belongs here as much as, or perhaps more than, the responses from people who think they know better.

Could I just point out that the 'advertisement' in question was not just posted to alt.tv.southpark, IT WAS POSTED TO ALL of the following newsgroups from what i know:
I have nothing against people wanting to promote their site, but if every site in the world posted an ad on this newsgroup, it would be a pretty awful newsgroup to be in, trust me.
Believe me, if i were to post a message right now saying 'Visit Kenny's hall of Death!' (my site) I would be flamed and dubbed as a spammer as well.
By the way, Yes, i do have a signature. It is very god damn normal. DO you realise that Most website owners do have a signature at the end of a post? At least its not a whole message devoted to a link. People dont normally view posts looking for signatures, they view posts looking for their content. So, since a signature file isnt the base of the message, it cannot be dubbed 'shameless'.
Dave, I do not know why you have a bug up your ass about this, because if every single person in this newsgroup posted 'Visit my site' posts, alt.tv.southpark wouldn't be as nice a place as it normally is. I do not want to start a fight over this, i just want to make this newsgroup a better place for everybody, okay :-)
Jeez you guys are so uptight. I thought with South Park being a humourous programme people on this ng would be relaxed, laid back and possesing a sense of humour - looks like I was wrong.
A guy posts a message about a site of interest to people using this ng and all anyone does is moan. Sure, if he had been advertising "Saucy Linda's Thursday Night Gangbang at http://www.lindalikesitupherarse.com/showusyourtitslove.htm then you would have a valid point, but in this case surely his posting was "on topic".

True, it is a South Park Site, but if the newsgroup became packed with messages wholly based on ads for Southpark sites all of a sudden, it wouldnt be a very nice place either.
But okay, i apologise, I was in a bit of a bad mood last night when i wrote it, and i don't usually bitch and complain about such small things :-)
I guess. But I'd rather see a dozen on-topic web site advertisements than one 'join my pyramid scheme' or 'earn money while you surf' or 'visit my sex site' spam.
