I have to disagree with them on this. The parents too can be as much ignoramuses on the subject as the teachers teaching it to the kids in the episode.

Though it was also said in the episode that the emotional and spiritual aspects of sex cannot be taught in the classroom or from a textbook, but instructions on proper condom usage and contraception options, and the scientific facts concerning sexual biology, pregnancy and diseases can be taught objectively and effectively by qualified adults with *competent* teaching abilities, with or without much personal experience, and has a place in the classroom as essential educational material. The actual sexual practices and techniques can be left to be learned from the participants' own imaginations, experiences, and personal lives, though.

Yeah, but what if the parents are a bunch of idiots and don't know their stuff? I think that it should be taught in both places. At home first, and then at school to get the facts straight.

Hehehe, that's funny. I was referring to Mackey and Choksondik tho'. The main point in the episode was the parents once again let the village raise their kids rather than taking the responsiblity themselves.
