I've read discussions in the past about Ned's voice changing slightly. I thought it was quite noticable in episode #208. I wonder if Matt & Trey switched who does his voice, or if they're not bothering to keep it constant, or if they simply forgot how - nah! Nevermind that last one. So anyway, what could be happening here?
Or perhaps I'm completely mistaken and his voice sounds as it always has?

What you are hearing is God's will manifesting itself in the actor's performance. Reliability must be forsaken so that one may even begin to walk the true path of Light in this extreme case. We should consider this young man lucky!

No, it definitely sounds different from , say, Volcano. Unfortunately, I can't explain the change.
I think it sounds more vocal. More like someone deliberately trying to impersonate one of those voice-box thingies and less like the real thing. He also is a little eaiser to understand in my opinion. I doubt it's something they deliberately did - I can't find the humor in the subtle voice change.
It might just be one of those unsolvable mysteries maybe . . .
