In "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe", the aliens made Cartman and Officer Barbrady sing a very strange song, which I found out was from a 1930s cartoon. The lyrics go as follows:
"I love to sing-a, About the moon and the June and the spring-a. I like a sky of blue over Deep Fort too [?]"
If anyone can correct them, I'll appreciate it. I will also appreciate any more info about that song or the movie it was from. If that song is available on CD, please give ordering info (it's not for me, of course, but someone else I know.)
The sound bite was taken from an old pre-Bugsbunny Warner Brothers cartoon.... there's this family of owls, and they have 3 baby owls. One of the baby owls is a violin virtuoso... another played the piano like a master, (I think it was a piano) and the third, the rogue, was a gifted singer... but he wanted to sing popular songs (which, at the time, were anything by the late great Al Jolsen) and of course the kid's parents flipped.
I'm pretty sure the song used is an Al Jolsen song... you may be able to find some re-masters of his old records on CD somewhere if you look around enough... although if you want the sound of the kid singing the song, you'll have to watch Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network (most likely Nickelodeon, who get stuck with the crappier WB cartoons) until they play the cartoon again.

I don't remember the name of the cartoon, but it airs on Cartoon Network once in awhile. It's about this family of owls, all the kids play more classical music (violins, etc) and he sings this god-awful song (at least his parents think it's awful) and make him sing some other song, and he keeps going back to this one. He gets entered in this contest (sort of like a gong show) and is singing the song his parents want him to sing, starts to get booed (or something like that) and begins to do his "I love to sing-a" song and is a big hit.
I may not have the description completely right, it's been awhile since I've seen it ;^)

I know it's in the FAQ at http://www.adequate.com/ but if I recall correctly, it's from a cartoon about a family of owls...really old cartoon. I saw it once, and enjoyed it...that was prior to me ever seeing South Park... ;)
