I'm not a die-hard fan of SP and this is the first time I've checked this n.g. (out of curiosity after the April Fool's gag) but I find it unbelievable that a show that has run so few episodes already has people crying foul. The show is in it's infancy and hopefully this is just a sign of things to come. Keep the pranks coming, keep the fans off guard -THAT- is truly innovative television. If all you want is to hear cartoon characters swearing, there are plenty of places to hear fart, dick, crap jokes in the world. But South Park may turn out to be truly revolutionary if they keep playing with the medium of television.

I look forward to years and years of SP screwing with EVERYONE'S minds and can't wait for the next gag.

Give it time, folks. If they're doing it right, it will just get weirder and weirder.

Why is everyone so upset about the T & P episode anyway? I really didn't care that much for it, but its just one show and some of the earlier eps are stil l great. I kind of admire them for having the guts to put something like that on actually. I was starting feel like maybe they were being a bit timid in the subjects they were tackling lately (too much Mad magazine-like goofing on popular culture IMO). Watching this ep reinforced the feeling I used to having watching SP that anything could happen. I think that the anything goes atmosphere is the show's strongest point. When SP starts adhering to a formula that will be the death of it it. As for feeling let down after the Cartman's dad hype, I can't believe anyone really cares who the father is. As they say on another TV program, "It's just a show, I should really just relax."

Feelings of betrayal, and an inability to take a joke. I don't believe that. I mean, it's SOUTH PARK for chrissakes, a show that makes fun of EVERYTHING, without exception. Some ppl just can't handle having the joke turned on themselves.

I couldn't agree with you more. Most of my friends were really upset that the April Fool's special was a T&P exclusive, but if you truly appreciate the creativity and whimsical nature of the show, you won't care, because that's just a sign that the writers aren't getting stuck in any sort of routine, which is the death of any tv program, good or bad.
