Really? I was wondering which reviews you heard it in, or whether it was word- of-mouth? I know this is off-topic for the group, but I've read four different reviews, from the NYT, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Cleveland Free Times, and SCENE Magazine, and all gave it 4 or 5 stars. I'm just curious as to where there are some bad reviews (I love to contrast good and bad reviews of the same film. It's often as if the reviewers saw two different films.).

A)    KUNDUN is a Martin Scorsese film about the Dalai Lama, with a score by

B)    I happen to LIKE Philip Glass' music.  Well, at least a lot of it, but
that's the problem.  There is SO MUCH of it that a lot of it sounds alike,
and a lot of it is not so hot.
C)    I also happened to laugh like a fool when he was so perfectly skewered
in the Christmas episode!

Phillip Glass is a New York composer. I'm sure you can find more info at your local library. He wrote the soundtrack to a great film called "Koyaanisqatsi"--rather avante-garde, but totally mesmerizing.

Phillip Glass is a modern composer who does some very fucked up works. The sounds you heard in the "x-mas play" were very close to the things he really does do. It may sound wierd, but his stuff is pretty cool, if you can take having to think about everything you hear.
