Yep. Are you getting a message telling you to upgrade? That's what mine says..then it doesn't connect. I'm going off to upgrade and see if this works now..

Just keep pressing the connect button until it works,,if all else fails,,exit and enter again.

Have you downloaded a Metallica MP3? Cause then you will be banned from Napster. I've heard that Metallica has sued Napster, and everyone who has downloaded a Metallica MP3 would be banned.... That's what I think....

No, it was anyone who was making a MetalliKKKa MP3 available for DL was booted, and that was only temporarily. The said that they would reinstate everyone later, unless MetalliKKKa wanted to take the time & resources to sue each and every user.

Still, the number of available gigs of downloadable MP3s has plummeted lately, but I'm guess that's mainly due to all the campus users who were online during the school year. I expect the giggage to go back up this Fall.

This whole mess is such a sucker move on Metallica's part. They're alienating fomer fans at an incredible rate, and it's all gonna bite them on the ass when they release their next CD. Shoulda just kept their fool mouths shut.

Napster was originally intended to help bands who were being overlooked to get around the system and get their music out IN SPITE of the industry's "if you don't hear it on Mtv, then they doesn't exist" mentality.

Now that everyone knows that there's an alternative to going into a Sam Goody and plunking $17+ down on yet another Backdoor Boys, N'SHIT, or Bitchanny Spears CD, the industry fears that it's losing it's Kung Fu Grip� on the consumer herds, and is using this MetalliKKKa ploy to close that door PDQ.

try out napigator @ www.napigator.com. What it does is lists Napsters servers and other servers that are operated by people outside of napster.
