I read somewhere that Trey didn't see the 1960's British TV series 'The Thunderbirds' until some time in 2003 and immediately wanted to make something similar.
The first 10 seconds into the first time I saw the promo, I thought...hey, The Thunderbirds...didn't know it was Matt and Trey until I looked it up on IMDB...looks pretty good.

As I understand it, Matt and Trey were originally negotiating to be able to use the actual footage from "Thunderbirds" with a new script that they wrote. The makers of "Thunderbirds" decided instead to license out the rights for the live action movie, so Matt and Trey had to shoot their own puppet footage instead.

I CAN'T WAIT to see this, since the first time I saw the trailer, I've been so pumped about this. There's something about marionettes that makes me very happy :)
