As an adult, I have no need to see a compromised version of this film and I am glad to see Matt and Trey resist the corporate armtwisting to tone it down for younger audiences.

But Matt and Trey, if you're reading this, for the sake of the kids, RERELEASE IT AS A PG-13 VERSION sometime soon, so those not old enough to see an 'R'-rated film can enjoy the full theatre experience of it without waiting for Dad to rent it for them at the video store. It'll also be a wise business decision to expand the audience to include the kiddies.

I REALLY enjoyed the movie. It's one of the few movies that I laughed my assed off at. If they reduced it to a PG-13 movie, it would probably only be 30 minutes and not be funny at all. If they bleeped the expletives out, it wouldn't be the same.

I'm not suggesting abolishing the 'R' version, but making a version that is more accessible to younger audiences, with the intent of spreading the film's underlying message and social satire to them as well.

How's this for a legal loophole? Blank out only the middle vowel of each expletive, leaving it obvious what the intended word really is, for example, "f-ck", "sh-t", "ass-le", etc. In a way, this would be another good way to get around, while making a blatant mockery of, the censorship system.

Too bad they don't have double features anymore. When I was eleven I wanted to see Saturday Night Fever. That was an R rated movie. But a few months after it was released it was playing with PG rated film. So I bought ticket for the PG film and got to see both films. I used to do that a lot back then.

C'mon guys South Park will be out on video in four or five months. If you want to listen to the album a bunch o' people are serving it at www.shoutcast.com . Look in the comedy section.

Until you see the film you won't realize there is seriously NO WAY they could cut it down. And the entire plot is about censorship, so it would be throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Critics have already said "this will never be on network TV."
