NO SEQUEL, PLEASE!!!

I've heard Matt & Trey are thinking about a sequel to South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. I loved it as much as possible, but please....NO SEQUEL. Everyone should know that if there was a sequel made, it wouldn't be as funny or shocking, it wouldn't be as original as the first, it wouldn't have the charm, and it would ruin the whole idea of the first. C'mon...the movie did what they wanted to do, and there wouldn't be much left they could do. They took it as far as it could go. Buy the movie when it comes out on VHS and DVD and then LEAVE IT ALONE. It will remain a piece of SP history...but a sequel would just ruin everything. Just take a look at the film! Besides, if the second SP movie is _almost_ as good as the first, it will be well worth seeing.

A philisophical observation: When you think about it, the second episode of _any_ TV series is, in a sense, a "sequel" to the series' pilot episode. By your anti-sequel logic, the South Park TV series should have stopped right after the "Anal Probe" episode.

    Well we'll just have to wait to see if "South Park" is still as popular
when they plan on making the sequal.  Heck, the movie studios won't praise
such a project if the popularity of the show still isn't there.  From what I
understand the television ratings for the show are at an all time low.  Then
again they are on cable, which never really has had much sucess with keeping
an audiece only because most of the shows are noticed through word of mouth.
You can't get much advertising from a channel that doesn't have any other
real hit shows.
   Anyway, as to why they might not make a sequal, think about this?  Its
kinda like the same reason as to why their wasn't a sequel to the "Bevis and
Butthead" movie.  Then, again if you want to talk movies from shows, SNL
spilled out a sequel for the highly popular "Wayne's World" flick a couple
of years ago. Let's also take note, that the sequel sucked which is where
this entire argument is going.  Anyway, Trey and Matt have done the show for
a year  and every show stays very funny.  I have heard that they shoot acid
and get real high when they write for it, heck you would have to be on
something to think up a talking piece of shit that has good higene.  Anyway,
if they did come out with a sequal the prasie wouldn't be there from the
critics.  It's very rare that critics give comedies good reviews, their
usually tough on funny films.  Though, most of them laughed so hard during
this one they couldn't denine it was great.  Also, the musical numbers were
outstand and you couldn't denine that the film was put together very well.
      If the boys decide to make a sequal they would have to get pretty
creative.  Possibly with a "Christmas" theme and Mr. Hanky.  Hell, I was
shocked that piece of crap didn't come in anywhere during the film. Anyway,
a great film and if they do decide to make a sequel let's hope its as
orginal as the first.  Will it be funny? Sure, have these guys done anything
unfunny?

Umm, you don't "shoot" acid, you eat it. And given my experience with acid, I would have to agree that they eat a whole lot of it!

Now here's a topic where living thru the 60's pays off - one "drops" acid.

dude, you have no fucking idea what you're talking about. They could easily do a whole series of films and have it still not be stale.

Come on, there will be a sequel. A low budget movie that is making a lot of money and that creates millions in merchandising, plus it got great reviews. You're going to be very disappointed because there will be one...and I for one would see it.

I was surprised, though, at how much *fun* it is, visually speaking, on a really *big* screen, and that made me wish I could see all of them that way.
