Well, this place is kinda doldrum-ish lately, unless my server's skipping all the posts or something ;P Sooooo, I'm just gonna *attempt* to start a discussion, to sorta help us hold on to our sanity (or what's left of it ;P) until the new episodes.

What do you imagine the SP kids will be doing in about 20 years?

I always tend to think of Stan and Kyle being exactly like Trey and Matt, famous with a cartoon show and everything. Cartman would probably not have a job or anything, he'd just sorta run around being whatever he feels like being. (one day, he's dressed as a swami, next day, a fashion designer, etc--kinda-sorta like what he does on the show at times ;P). Kenny will just sorta be....THERE. :)

Thoughts, anyone? ;)

I think that I should attempt to start many rambling off-topic discussions by stating my opinions on a variety of random things.

Trent Reznor would beat Billy Corrigan in a fight. Great Big Sea is the worst band in the history of Canada. Voivod is the best band in the history of Canada. All drugs should be deregulated. Stephen King is a much better writer than Dean Koontz. Tool is better than Nirvana. Jimi Hendrix and Yngwie Malmsteen are the best guitarists in the history of the universe. The funniest book ever written was Bored of the Rings; it knocked the hell out of the Hitchhiker's Guide series. Godwin's Law is the keystone that holds Usenet together.

And I present this question for discussion:

If we all had a fight, who would win? And why? People saying things like "I'm 7'2", 340 lbs, and have a goatee" get extra points.

If anyone has something to contribute, I'd love to hear it. Especially if it's stupid and time-wasting.

If you say so ...

Who?

Again, who?

Don't you mean decriminalized? I would agree with that, but only if they were regulated.

Without a doubt.

ARE YOU NUTS?!?!?!?!?

Agreed, but don't forget Stevie Ray Vaughn!!!!

Never read Bored of the Rings (but love the HGTTG seris).

Let's not mention Godwin's Law.

Why, I would ... I'm 7'2", 340 lbs and have a goatee (actually 6'3", 230 lbs. and used to have a goatee ... I've also got a cat with a bad attitude who could kick ANYONE'S ass, does that count?)

I hope this response fulfills the above requirement. <g>

A crappy folk rock band that sings songs about cod fishing. Terrance & Philip once met them in one of my fics before I rose above such things.

A strange metal band that sings songs about alien abductions.

Yeah, that's what I mean.

Probably. But Tool's deeper and more experimental, and that's good in my book.

It inspired my drunken tales of hoggits. If you liked them, you'll love it.

Why not? It annoys newbies to no end when we talk about something that they have no clue about.

My friend once had a cat kick his ass. He was poking the cat to see how fat it was (don't ask me why) and the cat responded by carving a big chunk out of his arm. He dropped it with a scream of anguish and it nearly bit his toe off. That was Some Good.

More topics for discussion:

Ultima Online is the stupidest game in the history of the universe.

Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhodes, Cliff Burton and Keith Moon are playing in a band.

In article , [email] (Martin Hazelbower) wrote:

Had Kurt Cobain not killed himself, the depth of Nirvana's music would probably have increased. Don't get me wrong, I do like a good amount of Tool's music, but still prefer the raw sound of Nirvana.

Do me a favor, if you would. E-mail me the URL for the Hoggit (I thought I had saved it , but damned if I can find it now).

True, but to mention it usually leads to it being invoked and then *poof* dead thread.

Haven't seen it, but I wouldn't expect too much from it. The original Ultima was cool when it first came out (what was that, 15 years ago??), but considering the only other adventure games out were Zork (and the other text based games) and Wizardry (kinda cool, but the graphics sucked ass), that doesn't say a lot compared to today's games.

With SRV exchanging guitar licks with Hendrix and Janis Joplin adding to the vocals. Hmmm, John Bonham could be doing drums along with Moon.

Amazing the OT posts that appear when repeats dominate the airwaves. <g>

Yeah... that was a real shame. And it's not as if the record company/MTV scum didn't drive him to it.

Martin's Corollary To Godwin's Law states that if it is mentioned in a thread, it may not be invoked in the same thread.

It's more to do with the assholes who play it -- just a whole lot of little Quake-obsessed kids who think it's great fun to kill me :)

And man, Wizardry rocks!

Bon Scott would be organizing their parties...

People in the early nineties were idiots. 'Nuff said.

Nirvana's best song ever is the craftily titled Radio Friendly Unit Shifter.

I am trying very, very hard not to make some sicko-weird-ass-obsessive-CarmelChick comment on that remark. Just to let you know.

Here's an even scarier thought: Cartman going through a mid-life crisis. FEAR! FEAR!

I am still under the firm belief that Kenny will become either a stuntman or an act at a sideshow. It's *far* too perfect otherwise.

Great topic, BTW!

Snow is lost in the world of Pokemon. Lindsay is lost in the world of Sailor Moon. The both of them couldn't really care less about South Park, though I know that Linds still loves Trey and Matt's work. Ah, anime. Hypnotic and frightening.

Yupperoonies! :) Kim wrote one (was this with Lindsay???) called "The Blunder Years" (parts 1 & 2), which totally kicked ass! I wrote "The Kenny Mystery" but that was kinda sucky. I should do another future one sometime, and try to improve on the suckyness of my first attempt at one. When the inspiration hits, of course ;P

Never really thought about it, but off the top of my head:

Stan: a social worker, helping out kids with sadistic older sisters, and telling them the "things he learned today".

Kyle: a lawyer, following in his dad's footsteps, and becoming the creator of the "Jawa Defense".

Cartman: a very disturbed person who will jump from job to job, ultimately ending up as a sumo wrestler or a side show attraction (the world's fattest man)

Kenny: either a porn director, or the star of a seris of snuff films where he is the one who keeps getting killed (8MM has been a hot topic 'round these parts recently, hence the latter possibility).
