Just saw South Park for the very first time, now that it's on regular TV here in Canada. It was the episode with the alien thingy in Cartman's ass. I swear, the first half of that show might have been the funniest thing I've ever seen on television. I deeply regret not taping it.
I notice that there are a lot of "real" photos scattered through the show. Now, one of them caught my attention. In the living room of the house, on the side table of the sofa, was a portrait of a blonde girl. Was this a photo of Lesley Mahaffey, one of the girls murdered here in Canada by Paul Bernardo? My husband and I both thought so, but we were watching "live" and couldn't get a really good look.
If it is, is this sort of thing common on the show? It seems like a weird choice of photos, but I don't have enough "history" with the show to know the significance.
If someone could tell me if that was indeed a photo of Lesley Mahaffey, and if this *is* an ongoing type of thing? I'm not complaining or anything, don't get me wrong, but I'm interested in learning more.
Thanks!
