Simpsons Episode Reminiscent of T&P

I was watching the Simps last night, and they had the episode where Itchy and Scratchy gets "fixed up" with a new character, poochy.

There was the scene where the comic book store guys was telling Bart how the show "owed" it's fans. Bart relates how they have been entertaining him for free, how could they owe him anything?

Comic Book guy : "Rest assured, I was on the internet within hours saying how crappy that episode was".

Of course, after the bad episode everyone predicted that the show would go off the air... and all the hardcore fans were at the press conference picking apart little discontinuities... It completely reminded me of this newsgroup!

At least when the Simpson's promised to deliver the sequel to Who Killed Mr. Burns, it arrived as scheduled the following season-no fricking mind games or april fools BS-they put on the cliffhanger that followed without that we're so cool we can piss on our fans mentality. Why should South Park follow in the steps of The Simpsons? It has nothing to do with the Simpsons. The only real link I can find is that their both animated. So why should South Park do what Simpsons did? Do you really want to hear Kyle say "Don't have a cow man" and Cartman say "D'oh!?? Would that make the show better in your eyes? Trey and Matt have given us a great program with hillarious characters that we have enjoyed for several months. You can obviously tell from the program that they are a tad sick, not a bad thing, but they aren't as normal as your average Joe Bloggs. So they played a trick on us, had us fooled and had themselves a laugh. Hundreds of people were in this group discussing who Cartman's father would be, and then BAM we get fooled. After 4 days of people yelling BOYCOTT SOUTH PARK they're at it again, trying to figure out who Cartmans father is. So if the episode on the 22nd sucks then stop watching South Park, just don't come in here and complain about it because this is a Newsgroup for FANS of the show.
