I thought Robin Williams did a superb performance, it really surprised me. And it definitely got the biggest applause of the night.

Like fucking Hell it did. Applause was pretty tepid for each of the announced songs (especially the flacid one by a more-than-faggy-looking N'SYNC), but you can noticibly tell that the cheers for "Blame canada" was thundering the auditorium.
