The Shield references in 4/23 episode

Anybody else catch the references to the FX show The Shield on last night's ep? The rockin' music they played during the shotouts on the SP episode was an obvious rip-off of what they used in the first episode of The Shield from last year (a Kid Rock tune, I do believe). The four rogue cops who break the rules but get results, the rival cops who pick on the rookies in the locker room...it's all there.

And if you don't watch The Shield....do so next time FX airs it. It's on hiatus right now, but the season 1 DVDs kick ass.

I noticed it too, except that the guy's name was Nino in NJC, but it's close enough. I hope they use more references from that movie in the future.
