Nah, I doubt it. But they've said holiday episodes take four times as long to produce as regular episodes, and they've admitted to being lazy types.

Where was Kenny then? At the end there were Stan, Kyle, and Cartman talking to Butters. Kenny was not among them. But visually Butters was placed as if "one of the four".

Trey and Matt may have been tapped out on storylines involving Kenny beyond his presence being a gimmick (subtlely apparent even in the last episode "Kenny Dies"). As a charactor replacement, Butters does share with Kenny a certain stoicism in the face of adversity. His parents may not be dirt poor, but they are undeniably screwed up.

No new episodes until March. Argh!
