South Park is right wing.

Sure, I enjoy SP for the sound of children swearing (always nice). But lately I've noticed that the themes of many of the shows are conservative, a refreshing change from the politically correct drivel of most of the media.

On one episode we learn that chain stores, such as Starbucks, are not always bad. That they got where they are by providing better products than the local yokels. We also learned about the evils of power-mad Hollywood liberals like Robert Redford and Barbra Strident, the former a victim of a shit explosion. And on the latest episode we saw how incompetent and ineffective species are SUPPOSED to become extinct and how pointless is it to try to preserve them. What was their name, the Jackoffagouse?

Which is why I have no clue why Christians bitch about Jesus being on this show. I'm a Christian (by birth) and I'm not offended at all. He may say his occasional <bleep>, but Jesus *was* human, as Christians believe (Christians also consider saying "curse words" to be a sin--breaking of the "rules"), and Jesus is human and therefore he could "sin", then there would be nothing wrong with him being depicted as having an occasional slip of the tongue here and there.

Christians are just making a big old deal out of peanuts. The way Jesus is depicted is not at all against any Christian beliefs. If I hear one more Christian whine about Jesus being a character on South Park, I will scream.

Just an opinion.

Christians need to learn to laugh at themselves. Whether you are black, white, Native American, Christian, Jewish, or Buddhist, straight, gay, or bi, there's always something about you that can be made fun of. I happen to have read humor about my religious faith and things that I believe in, and I often laugh at them myself. Half the time, they are the exaggerated version of the truth. As long as people like Trey and Matt are educated about the real way things are, and don't believe what they say in humor to be true in a serious light as well, then there's no problem here. With freedom comes the abuse of it, and until we learn to stop being so goddamn PC, we're going to have a lot of problems. IMO, that's what South Park is all about.

SP is neither right-wing nor left-wing. There's something there to offend everyone, or at least anyone oversensitive enough to take it too seriously.

SP could easily be interpreted as leftist because of the pro-gay episode (Big Gay Al's Gay Boat Ride) or the frequent mocking of the Christian religion.
