If you ever notice yourself posting from AOL, try canceling the account, and moving to a real ISP. May one nut swell disproportionately, painfully, and eternally; to all censorship advocates and netnarcs...man or woman.

Not meant to be. AOL is a shitty ISP, and you know it. Or maybe you've only ever had an AOL account, and don't know it.

Look, the job of an ISP is to route your data signal through the T lines, and cache certain information for you upon request (like email and news services). That is all, that is the entire job they are responsible for. They are not responsible for the content of the data, and have no right to use censorship, regardless of any ignorant contract they have a person sign.

Freedom of speech extends to the usenet, like it or not.

And for all you trolls, fools, and flamers. Don't worry about AOL, just drop the account and move to a local ISP. Then you won't have to worry about netnarcs and their ilk, so you can just post all the obscene and rotten filth your little minds can conjure up. Most local ISP's do not have a terms of agreement which includes restrictions on what you can and can not write. Private email is one thing, and is covered by the privacy act, but the usenet is public, and we can individually say anything we want in public.

Not to mention, that most local ISP's have better connections and cheaper rates.
