Frozen aliens dropped into volcanoes? Soul catchers?
That's not what Scientologists really believe, is it?
I'm inclined to think it's true. From the same dudes that gave us the Mormon story (golden tablets, seer stone, I lost the pages) comes the tale of Scientology.
All I can say is "TOM, COME OUT OF THE CLOSET!"
lol lmao
Definitely one of M&T's finest.

Don't be silly. There were some Jane Smiths in there as well to share the blame.
(But is the real reason all the credits were Smith that so nobody would notice Isaac Hayes's name was missing?)
Actually, Trey and Matt may have went one step too far, with that "THIS IS WHAT SCIENTOLOGISTS ACTUALLY BELIEVE" message across the screen during the story.
Meanwhile, did you hear the one about the man who supposedly had no father, who managed to walk out of a tomb two days after he died even though nobody saw the tomb open, and then bodily rise into heaven, possibly stopping in North America along the way?

How do you figure? That is what those idiots atually believe. Remember, there is nothing too stupid that someone somewhere isn't going to believe and pay to hear it.
Btw, "may have gone". Not "may have went" forfucksake.

South Park has made fun of Jews, Moslems, and Christians. If the scientologists can't take it then it is their own problem. If Isaac Hayes left the show over this issue then Scientologists really are a bunch of pussies. Lawsuits in 5..4..3..
This should have been done during the Mormon episode too.
Or they guy who was swallowed by the whale.

I was getting tired of South Park before this ep, always picking on easy targets, sitting on the fence etc. They really grew some nads for this one. WTG South Park! Tom Cruise is gay.

Yeah and he hates fags & commies as much as I do, too!
Uh, no! Sounds kind of like what happened to Jesus, but he walked out of the tomb 3 days later and there were stories about him walking around for about 3 years after that (no mention of North America though).

It's what Scientology's "bible" says. Keep that in mind when you hear someone publicly admit to being a scientologist.

So, basically, it is totally stupid, but not quite as stupid as the Christian Bible?

The Tom come out of the closet thing was really great. I guess I didn't see it coming. I knew they were going to bring Tom into when they started talking about Scientologists. I thought they were going the Katie or Oprah route. Really great episode. Almost as funny when they were say MURDERER -LIAR etc. to OJ and the Ramseys.
Since Tom really was in a closet I wonder if there are grounds to sue. I gotta image they ran this one past legal.

Evidently it is. It's been reported for years, and with scientology being so quick to sue people for libel over the slightest crack, they've been conspicuously silent about it. The disclaimer was accurate. If you look around online you'll find some elaboration. Those tortured souls are said to be the only things keeping humans from attaining godlike status.
The church doesn't tell members until they've been involved for several years and proven their loyalty by paying for working for the church and paying many thousands of dollars for audits, classes, etc.
There's supposedly an even more secret layer to the entire mythology, which only a select few people in the very highest levels of the church ever learn about it.
Hilarious episode. Trey and Matt have proven that they've got the biggest balls in the universe.
