Hopefully all of you will have read my post on my new fic, Fat, well this is the first bit of its origin, which was a story I wrote for real and then realised it had obvious parallels with South Park. This too includes the movie reference so lets see who can get it first...
PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR RESPONCES, POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FAT - THE ORIGINAL VERSION, PART 1
There's fat and there's FAT. Or at least that's what Philip's mum always told him, reassuring him he was the former. When he looked around at his friends and his classmates, he seemed to reckon he was definitely the latter. 'Fat Phil', his not-so-affectionate moniker, couldn't help it of course. He was American, as were most of the people in America. He was also fat, as were most of the people in America. Yes, it was another of his mum's philosophies, which she told him when he felt obese. Like he didn't feel obese all of the hours in the day. He did have friends - well a friend. The only English kid in the school. If an American kid turned up at an English school he would be a hero because America was 'cooler' than England. Or that's what he's reckoned. An English kid in an American school was about as sad as a hedgehog orphaned while crossing a one way street. Imagine the ignominy, only one set of vehicles to negotiate and his folks failed that!
Simon was the English friend. He was nicknamed 'Leechy'. He hung around Phil like a bad smell. Glued to him. He was more unpopular than the kid he'd befriended! Another thing about ol' Leechy, he always wore this small black badge, which seemed to have a lens in. When you looked in it, it came back with a distorted, unflattering view of your face. Almost like some sort of weird camera......
