South Park Voices

What does everyone think about the voice processing on South Park?

Do you think it's just Trey/Matt making kids voices? Do you think it's sped up and/or processed to get that special quality?

Yeah, recorded slow and played back fast, chipmunk-style. That'd explain why some of it isn't perfectly easy to make out and isn't always perfectly timed. Also, if real human beings had to speak like that for very long they'd suffer. Having said that, IMHO at least a few of the characters (not counting the non-sped-up ones like Mr. Garrison and Cartman's mom) seem to have *great* timing for processed voices. Cartman's is flawless.

I believe that it's a little of both.
