Roger Ebert

Ebert gave this movie **� because he thought it was "too offensive." Mr. Ebert, out of all the crude, disgusting films you've seen, why did you choose to be shaken up by this one? You liked Beavis & Butthead, but don't you realize this is much more clever and funny? South Park is a brilliant social satire, more than you will ever know. And I don't believe how you didn't get the message the film was trying to say. To quote: "All it lacks is a point to its message. What is it saying? That movies have gone too far, or that protests against movies have gone too far?" The movie is simply declaring that America is too strict and that, YES, protests against movies (actually TV if you watch the show) have gone too far. Ebert's just got a bug up his ass about the South Park movie, because he doesn't like that one of the ep titles points out that he's been eating too much fatty foods. :) Ebert's a dumbass. Critics *rarely* know the good movies, especially when it comes to comedy.

Check out Ebert's review for yourself at http://www.suntimes.com/output/ebert1/30sout.html He liked the film, and generally likes films like it -- he is just aware that the movie will never reach America's moral mainstream (the people who own the papers and advertise on his show). The **1/2 rating seems more like prudent politics to me.

Actually Winona is doing nothing unspeakable with Ping-Pong balls. Got to wonder what Mr. Ebert's mind led him to believe. Probably the same thing my mind led me to beleive but was then the movie basically turned around and showed me what a sick little f'er I am ;-). Perhaps Mr. Ebert should lay off the fatty foods and the German videos!

Bingo. While I generally think Ebert (the man who was partially responsible for BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS) is a good mainstream reviewer, your opinion does have the ring of truth.

I was looking forward to this movie. I was first in line at 1030 this morning, but I have to agree with ebert. I think it stunk. Too much singing. Most all of the jokes fell flat. Where was the creativity? Havent they done a story similiar to this on the show a hundred times already? I agree with ebert.

That sucks. Everyone should get to enjoy this flick. Try it again, but smoke a bowl first. Maybe it'll help. hehheh VIVA LA RESISTANCE!!

Maybe your right. There were just a bunch of little kids in there and I couldnt enjoy it. I will give it one more chance.

UMMM YEAH GUY this movie is at least 10000 time cruder then beavis...do America what was that rated like a pg. 13 and park was rated R over there in the good old us of A in god father f*ck was used 182 time ummm in the song "uncle f*cka" or what ever they called f*ck was used at least 25 time and the song was only a small part of the movie. given I laugh my ass off although a little too much singing. But on the crude ness scale it was way up there and to many d*cks also (and or dildo's Sadams fake P*NIS) I am wondering if Keyser Soze ever saw the movie b4 writing this and do have to bleep my self out in these posts????
