I agree 100%!! The first time I saw this show, I wondered just exactly WHAT the dust the windmill spews is? I see the show daily since I work in an electronics repair shop, and PBS is the only local broadcast station, (besides the Box, and all of the Rap/R&B videos make me ill) that has a good enough picture to show off Tvs for sale. I have also heard customers commenting about "recreational pharmecuticals" while the show is on. ;-) ...But they are on THREE FREAKING TIMES A DAY!!...but Barney is only on twice...

I must admit that I enjoy watching the Teletubbies. They are very silly and hilarious to watch and I don't even take drugs. There's one episode where all the Teletubbies each take turns wearing a skirt and then dancing around in it. The gay male Teletubbie, Tinky Winky (who also occasionally carries a red purse around with him), the purple one, puts on the skirt while the smallest Teletubbie, Po, the red one, rides away on her scooter saying, "Faggy, faggy!" as she passes by Tinky Winky. I was laughing so hard. The things this TV-Y rated show gets away with. In that very same episode, Laa-Laa, the yellow female Teletubbie, tries to get Dipsy, the green male Teletubbie to wear the skirt but he refuses then yells, "Run away!" and runs off with Laa-Laa chasing him. I was again laughing so hard that I almost pissed in my pants. He eventually does wear the skirt but he's not too happy about it though. Hilarious stuff!

Hey,wait. I thought Tinky-winky was blue...

You know that the 'Tubbies are firmly ensconced in popular culture when they've been mentioned on Saturday Night Live...

...oh,well. Just a thought...

Well yeah, but not just any drugs. I'd suggest Reglan, or Compazine....

I love finding what I'm looking for on the web!!!

I was going to mention this comic of Robotman... but then, even better, I found it... this cracked me up when I read it!

Well, either that you have to of pre-school age for which the show was intended.

I gather from this post and others that they have reached America - they are seriously big business over here with parents ready to commit murder to get a set of Teletubbies dolls for their sprogs.

Mind you, that was awhile ago so maybe its died down over here.

It does make you wonder though?!

Really? Wow! Where I am (Ontario, Canada) there's 400 of them in every toy store. But then, there's that many Tickle Me Elmo dolls, and they were going for $300 apiece a couple of years ago ...

Has everyone missed that Trey and Matt already know about the Teletubbies? Go back and watch Ike's Wee Wee again, very carefully.

Well, why do you think I posted this in here instead of alt.tv.teletubbies??? Get the connection? You have to be on DRUGS?!? As in :"Drugs are bad:mmmkay??"

Sorry, Zeke, but your original posting didn't make it clear if you'd seen the Tubbies' cameo on Ike's Wee Wee or not. You know what alt.tv.southpark's like: people wander in all the time saying things like "Shit, those Teletubbies" and it doesn't always have anything to do with South Park.

Mind you, I'm pretty impressed with the speed with which Trey and Matt made the drugs connection, as I thought Teletubbies had only been showing in the US a matter of weeks before their gag about it. Here in the UK, the dope angle has become widely accepted: they do a Sunday morning show at 7.30am, when the only people who could possibly want to see it are all-night clubbers who've only just got home.

There really is an alt.tv.teletubbies? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...

Ged Gleeson "...and now it's almost time for bo-bos..." Spank The Monkey at http://www.gleeson0.demon.co.uk

You've all missed the point. Teletubbies aren't to be watched whilst on drugs, but when coming off drugs. The BBC created the 'tubbies as a way for halucinogenic's users to come off the drugs quietly in thier own home, without making the jolt to reality to harsh. However the whole plan backfired when the moose from CBBC got hold of the tape, and in a kind of Jimmy Page remix job hit upon the winning formula of LSD hallucinations, and little kids playing. Of course the whole thing must contain a repetitive beat/lyric, which is why the kids runing around are shown twice.

In case anyone's really interested someone did write a teletubbies killer game called armchair assasin but you need an amiga 1200 or 4000to run it
