T&M were VERY FUNNY on MTV awards!

Yes, I wish they'd been on longer. I'd walk a mile over broken glass to watch them read the phone book. But then I'm like that.

However, I thought they were quite funny. Certainly it was the only time (other than Ben Stiller's hilarious "6th Backstreet Boy" bit) that I laughed out loud.

They were obviously parodying awards shows and presenters! I mean, come on -- they're decent hactors. They had to be deliberately reading their lines that way!

It sounded to me like they wrote the lines themselves, particularly Trey's line about the economy crumbling and people dying yet wasn't it nice how they could all come together and say Will Smith had great pants. That sounds SO much like something they'd write.

I seriously doubt that the MTV writers could joke about The Dave Matthews Band's name or insert a subtle Shakespearean reference. Those people probably think "Henry V" is the fifth movie in the "Henry" series.

Besides, they both looked really, REALLY cute.

Shakespere? Point it out to all us who's only knowledge of Shakespere is reading Romeo and Juliet once and getting a gist of Hamlet from 'The Lion King'! (Yeah yeah, I'll catch up on my classics. I just finished the Scarlet Pimpernel, and I'm looking to get my hands on Les Misrebles, or however the hell you spell it). Otherwise, I caught all the stuff (though I want to see it a second time) and thought them hilarious. And as much as I tried to convince myself that they weren't the only reason I was watching, after they introduced the Dave Matthews Band I turned it off. I didn't even listen to the band. For some reason, Trey's 'Will Smith's Pants' line made me want to write. And then I did that for half an hour and went to bed. Life is good. By the way, I'm wondering why Trey was shaking and pale (going by what people say, I was too excited that they finally were on to notice). I know it's a larger audience, but they've been on Leno twice, Dennis Miller Live, and the Daily Show. I would be over stage fright by now.

Hi all! At what point in the show did Matt And Trey appear? I just found out that it was on tv and I called up a friend to tape it, but I missed the first hour. Did I miss them???
