Unless I am mistaken, first he and Satan are discussing having eaten pork chops for dinner (while they're washing the dishes), then, all of a sudden, Chris is a vegetarian.
What's the deal here?

I'm not sure whether I heard right either, but maybe Satan said that the *meal* was vegetarian, not necessarily that Chris is a vegetarian.
However, if Satan explicitly said that Chris is a vegetarian, then maybe they ate vegetarian pork chops.
Right now, you can buy vegetarian burgers, vegetarian hot dogs, vegetarian salisbury steaks, vegetarian baloney, vegetarian ham, and vegetarian bacon. However, if you want vegetarian pork chops, you have to go to Hell for them because they're not yet available on Earth.
Anyhow, despite a possible consistency error, this episode was absolutely great! Let's face it: the ridiculing of Catholic rituals such as communion, and of the baseless, unfounded beliefs about Hell was right on-target. I love anything that exposes stupid religions for what they are, but this South Park episode was laugh-out-loud funny, in addition to being courageous and truthful.

Just watched it again with my non-cabled friend. (I do a mercy mission with the tape to this unfortunate soul whenever there's a new episode.) Satan says the *meal* is vegetarian, but that Chris was a *nutritionist* (not necessarily a vegetarian one) when he was alive.

I think what Satan said was that Chris had been a nutritionist in life, not a vegetarian.

Don't forget vegetarian pepperoni. That stuff is actually good.

Chris is a nutritionist, not a vegetarian. He just decided to serve vegetarian fare. But Satan was the one who made pork chops.

In Hell, you better inquire (or maybe not) about the source of that pork.
One thing that gets me: if Saddam kills Chris, what of it? Where's he gonna go, Detroit?
<<Chris is a nutritionist, not a vegetarian>>
Aha. Thanks.
Of course, I wonder how many nutritionists eat pork...

Think about it... for a vegetarian, there's no more perfect Hell than having to eat meat...even if you're boning Satan himself, you're still in Hell...
No doubt at the Hukilau.
