Pee... and the rest of Season 13

"Pee" actually was a pretty good episode, and beat the crap out of "WTF" and "The F Word". In fact, the half-season was OK pretty-much except for "WTF". I'm not a fan of wrestling, so it may have put me off a bit.

"Dead Celebrities" was a winner, "Butters' Bottom Bitch" was very good, and "Dances with Smurfs" wrapped up nicely. "Whale Whores" was pretty good too so, while not on a par with much earlier half-seasons, I'm very happy with how things have gone the last seven weeks.

"Margaritaville", "Fishsticks" and "Fatbeard" were my favourites from the first half of the season, with "Fatbeard" probably being the pick of the bunch.

Any comments? Anyone care??

The episode with the bikers was a winner.

Just before watching it, I was thinking about how every now and then, theres a SP episode that redeems the show. The biker ep was one of them.

I didnt realise there were other people out there who thought the same thing as I did about harley riding conformist mongoloids.

Other than that - I can't think of any particularly impressive episodes this season.

It was okay, it felt to me like they were going over old ground, in a way. Actually, since I last posted I realised I hadnt seen 'Butters Bottom Bitch'... I watched it last night and I quite enjoyed it.

Then again, I just plain like Butters. I like what theyve gradually been doing to his character... naive and sweet - yet with a dark underside...

Based on the last few episodes (aside from the last two eps I have not yet seen) I realise now I was overly harsh in my last post.

The last few eps IMO are actually generally better over all than most from the last season or two. I think why I've been so critical is that they tend to repeat certain themes over and over (even if the stories vary), and I'm just bored by them.

I think your memory is failing you, Je�us. Seasons 11 and 12 had some very good episodes. Most of season 11 was pretty good, with the exception of Lice Capades and perhaps D-Yikes. I think Major Boobage was the worst of season 12, yet the rest, on reflection, was pretty good.

As for repeated themes, I've noticed that too on occasions. They've never taken the same direction as their predecessors, as you've conceded, and I've rarely been completely disappointed by a new South Park episode. Some are crap, most are good, and some are still right up there. Not like the old days though, when virtually each one was a classic in its own right.

Well, my memory isnt all that great sometimes... but I know what I think of SP over all.

I thought Major Boobage was one of their all time greatest episodes.

Basically I'd have to say I find most SP episodes fairly ordinary - I can take them or leave them. But when they put out a good one - it's really good. And that's what keeps me watching the show.
