I can't believe I missed this

Watching the rerun of Spookyfish the other night I noticed that almost every scene in which both Cartman and his evil twin appeared had a rather noticeable 'split' down the middle of the screen. Obviously, this was a poke at other shows that have featured doppelgangers. And it took me all this time to notice it. Oh well.

same here. I've watched this episode a few time but failed to notice this very obvious and intentional glitch. I strongly believe that Trey & Matt did this to simulate a "split screen" as is done in numerous tv shows & movies (ie.... The Patty Duke Show & The Parent Trap just to name two) This way it looks like that Cartman was actually playing two parts and making the split screen obvious. This made it more comical to me. Good thinking on Matt & Trey's part.
