What movie was that lab scene from in the first Towelie episode?? The one with the genetically engineered towels still in suspension, and the mutated towel asking to be killed. I'd appreciate it. This is racking my brains.

I can't think of an exact match to that scene, but the "kill me" cliche comes up in so many movies, you lose track. There was an alien infected woman who asked to be killed in "Aliens", the guy who got all his limbs amputated asked to be killed in "Johnny Got His Gun", and there was a really old sci-fi horror movie that I forget the name of, where the main character's last line was that her wish was to be buried (because she was a reanimated head).

I think it's refering to Alien: Resurrection where they breed a hybrid Sigourney Weaver/Alien clone, there is a room with all the failures and the last one is almost human and asks Sigourney's character to kill her.
The Fly was one of the 1st to use "Kill Me". And it used it to much better scarier effect than aliens.

But the reference in the show is most certainly directed at Aliens 4. They go into a room where there's some attempted genetic clones of Towlie and there's a few dead ones and the one live one asking to be killed. That's exactly like the scene in Aliens 4 where Uber-Ripley finds the room where the failed genetic clones (and one living one, begging to be killed) are kept.
