i once seen a very old american movie that takes place at the turn of the century 1899. the scientist created a time machine and went into the future. if i remember correctly this was a black and white film. do anyone know the name of this movie?

Could be "H.G.Wells' The Time Machine" But that was in color.......
Or a variation of this would be "Time After Time", H.G.Wells follows Jack The Ripper into the future using his time machine.......that is also color.....

The Movie has has a lot of cold war stuff on it, which seems a bit dated now.
It's in color. The Time Machine....starring Rod Taylor. One of my all-time favorite movies.
