Foul language in South Park

People have been making a big deal about episode 502 where characters say "shit". But what about many previous episodes where Cartman says "asshole"?

That goes all the way back to where Kyle dreamed they were all on the bus.

Because thw word 'shit' isn't usually said on television...I've heard 'asshole' numerous times on other shows such as those on FOX, CBS, or ABC...only heard 'shit' twice on basic channels...once on CBS during an episode of ER where the guy said "Shit happens" and once on Boston Public on FOX, where the guy said "Oh well, tough shit"...but many times you hear asshole on TV, as long as it's after that 10 o' clock timeslot.

Being from Canada, I don't see what all the fuss is about. Up here, it isn't language that gets people, it's explicit violence.

There was even a made for TV movie that aired on the CBC a few years back about this 14 year old kid who had a lot of family problems. It started at 9 pm, and in the first scene, you see him holding a video camera, filming himself. He looks right into the camera and says "Fuck you!"

The CTV network here is showing season 1 & 2 of The Soprano's...uncut. CTV by the way is a regular network that everyone can get

Matt and Trey were right on the money with the South Park movie. Americans seem to go completely apeshit when they hear a "bad" word or see a bare ass on TV. The bible belt states are the worst though. I thought I'd heard it all when they wanted NYPD Blue banned, then they went and one-upped themselves by boycotting Disney because "They promote a gay lifestyle"

So, if you don't like the language in South Park, change the bloody channel and go on with your life.
