Fresh off my New Year's Bash in Myrtle Beach, which kicked ass with a keg of beer, a South Park countdown (was disappointed with it only being a 15 second clip, but Trey and Matt deserve to party, too!), and football all over, 1998 looks to be a great year. I came back to over 300 messages (no thanks to the 280+ I could have done without) and was rather pissed off. 1) Welcome newbies - if you need something, use a search engine. All of the stuff you request will be on someone's web page (more than likely Taison's) and if you can't use a search engine, get off AOL and burn your computer. 2) FRENCH FRIES?! What the hell is up with that thread? 3) Viva Variety - post in the comedy central newsgroup - not here! 4) The FAQ - I'm glad Bob got a good one done, and then everyone else decided to do one. I do agree we need to decide on a concise one - create one thread and let's go from there. 5) The show will not be cancelled - who comes up with this crap anyway? No one in North Carolina has even mentioned banning the show and everyone knows Jesse Helms would be the first to jump on it. Matter of fact, have heard of no rumblings here in the South at all. Ok, I feel a bit better. I know it is a month before the next episodes start airing, so let's try to stay on subject (South Park), and have a great 1998.
p.s. - Five of us didn't finish the keg by midnight playing the original South Park drinking game, but we did get six more fans of the show who had never seen it (they were drinking Sex on the Beach). Unfortunately, they didn't get to see the 11:30 show - oh well!
