Watching Headline News this morning, I saw the little news scroll down at the bottom of the screen. On it, it said that a Georgia elememtery school principal banned all paraphanalia related to South Park.
Two questions come to mind.
Apparently Headline News is quite a bit slower than this newsgroup to pick up new stories. It's been under discussion here for a few days now.
Although kids are watching, as you can easily tell by reading this newsgroup, the clothing they wear doesn't prove that. If a kid had a picture of a sports car on his shirt, would you ask, "Why are little children driving automobiles?"
I agree. I thought the new ratings thing was supposed to keep this stuff from being seen by the younger generation. Wonder where the parents were when their kids were watching South Park?. Maybe they were at the 12th Annual Drunken Barn Dance. Who knows, one of em might be Cartmans dad.
They tried this (not this particular school) when Beavis and Butthead came out and the schools caved. Freedom of speach and expression was restored (for a while anyway).
