It's actually a gradual move to 100% government control, where people want the government to dictate what they can and can't watch on TV or can/can't listen to on the radio. They're already trying to make public school 100% liable for children's bad upbringing...
It's going to be like communism. But worse. The government will decide what you will do, how much you will make, what food you eat and when, even who you marry.
