SP losing to the Simpsons

South Park lost its emmy to the Simpsons? Typical. The awards only go to the program that's been on for the longest and for the one that grows less and less original with each low rated show. I'm so sick of the Simpsons winning all these emmies. "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boatride" deserved the emmy, Simpsons didn't. South Park is much funnier. That episode at least showed sympathy for the gay community. What importance was the Simpsons episode? South Park clearly deserved the award. Period.

I would defanity say that the simpsons deserved that award. all of you know that I dont like south park, but even if I was a big dumb fan of the show I would still want the simpsons to win. it is a much more deserving show.

I think Lewis Carol, may he forgive me for misspelling his name, once said that he was glad he didn't like brocolli, because if he did he would eat it all the time, and he can't stand brocolli. You're using the same logic.

I don't know that I agree with you there. I love South Park, but the Simpsons kicks ass. It's just as funny as South Park, it's just that the humour is more, shall we say, sophisticated. And who watches South Park or the Simpsons for the messsage or importance? South Park is a kickass show, but the Simpsons is still my favorite, and I think it deserved the award.

You also totally missed one important thing. South Park often takes on VERY controversial issues. And it also hits home. Notice that a lot of people are supposedly "pro gay" but when they meet a gay person all they do is make fun of him or her. The people of south park kinda signified much of the countries hidden digust w/gay people. Also how about Damien? Almost all of the South Park shows have face some controversial issues that most often may not win emmies. Also, a lot of people just don't get it. They see it as a funny yet pointless show. Face it, South park may just become the "Susan Lucci" of the emmy's. -me
