Just saw the new south park. Wanted some opinion from u guys because I personally thought it was the worst one yet. No one reason, just didn't seem to have the laugh out louds the others did. Oh well, I guess maybe I'm just becoming jaded to SP. Hope not! :)

I would have to agree. While I did have a couple of chuckles, I didn't have the the double-over-and-laugh-so-hard-that-I-cry-and-ache reaction that I got with episodes such as "A Pig Makes Love to an Elephant". I can't quite articulate the reason, but it just seemed to coast on the humorous premise throughout without many punchlines - kind of like a 30-minute "Saturday Night Live" skit.
I agree. My girlfriend and I watched it, and it just lacked something. It was almost as if they completely removed one dimension from it, as if the old ones were 3-D, and this one was only done in two dimensions. Wierd way to put it I guess, but there was something lacking in this one that they had in the others. I hope it's just a one time thing here, that they're not already losing it. As everyone else on this thread pointed out, I chuckled a few times, but for the most part, after the first 10 minutes, I just waited for something to prove to be up to their normal par, and was disappointed when nothing else was. Even Satan betting on Jesus to win was obvious the moment Jesus said "One person bet on me"... Guess the rest of this month will tell about the level of writing, and if this was just a one time slump...

Given the plot line I think they could have done a much better job. Seemed to me they let a lot of opportunities for some far out comedy go by. Now someone mentioned that this show had a milder rating. It would be interesting to know which came first; did they purposely write a tamer show to get the rating or was the rating given because the show was so tame?

I have to disagree. . . I liked the Damien episode. It wasn't as funny as the Christmas episode or the Halloween Episode, but we all had something to talk about thenext day in first period. It was funny . . . especially Cartman's party!!
