"licking carpet" or carpet munching.......a slang term for a lesbian is a carpet muncher. And a box is a slang term for female sexual anatomy. Hence the song....Momma's got a squeeze box. Daddy never sleeps at night.

Children would tend to confuse carpet munching with carpet licking.....blah...blah.....blah.....

Hmmm...good setup. Ok, I'm pretty sure that the licking carpet and chowing on box jokes were just euphemisms for f/f oral sex action - which is about all they can do to each other........ oh wait, I suppose they could get into some heavy fisting, or bring in some eels or even a cordless power drill. I'm sure there's some less normal things they could do to..............

Ah, it seems that we have a misunderstanding here. I am not a guy, I am a female(and ALL woman too). A broad if you will(I am too old to be considered a chick). I was merely alluding to the fact that I have never and will never "eat at the Y", it's just not the sort of thing I'm into. The receiving end however is quite another story<G>. Hope I've cleared that up for you.
